Viernes 30 de Octubre de 2015 I Londres I Madrid I El próximo 20 de Noviembre se
publica 'Junun'. Nuevo proyecto en el que confluyen el compositor y guitarra de Radiohead,
Jonny Greenwood; el poeta, compositor y productor israelí Shye Ben Tzur; y la banda qawwali
Rajasthan Express. El álbum es doble y coincide, además, con el estreno de un film de mismo
título dirigido por Paul Thomas Anderson (Magnolia, There Will Be Blood, Punch-Drunk Love).
Traducido locura de amor, 'Junun' fue grabado a principios de este año en Mehrangarh
(un fuerte del siglo XV en la ciudad de Jodhpur, Rayastán) y ha sido producido por Nigel
Godrich (R.E.M, The Beta Band, Radiohead). Las composiciones, todas ellas devocionales sufís
en hebreo, viene firmadas por Tzur y, si bien parten de lo más hondo y tradicional, esta
experiencia les aporta una nueva y edificante perspectiva contemporánea. Todo, gracias al
encaje de manos que es este disco. Un álbum concebido desde la admiración entre las partes
contratantes:
Tras asistir a un concierto de Zakir Hussain y Hariprasad Chaurasia, la música india cambió
mi vida. En ese momento decidí quedarme a vivir en este país (...), reconoce Shye Ben Tzur.
Mientras, Jonny Greenwood confiesa: Fue en el desierto de Negev (sur de Israel), cuando
escuché una banda tocando una mezcla hermosa entre música árabe y tradicional india. La
canción original era de Shye Ben Tzur (...).

Radiohead finaliza la grabación de su noveno disco y girará en 2016
Jonny Greenwood confirma la noticia en una radio rusa Durante todo el mes de
septiembre, Radiohead estuvo en el estudio trabajando en lo que sería su noveno disco y hubo
pruebas fotográficas del suceso. Aparentemente, las sesiones fueron un éxito, según confirmó
Jonny Greenwood a una radio rusa: “Hemos terminado de grabar el nuevo disco pero seguimos
reevaluando el trabajo que hicimos. Esperamos tenerlo bien pronto y luego de eso comenzar a
planear la gira del año que viene”. No son noticias que deberían sorprendernos ya que
Philip Selway, baterista del grupo, ya había comentado el deseo de tenerlo listo para esta
primavera. Pese a todo esto, no se sabe mucho del nuevo disco. En las fotos que compartió el
compositor Robert Ziegler el mes pasado los vimos trabajando junto a una orquesta, que
responden a las declaraciones de Selway de que habría colaboradores. Y antes, Greenwood
afirmó que “Lift“, una canción de 1996, aparecería en el disco.
Jonny Greenwood aclaró sus comentarios por Twitter. Dijo que hubo un error en la traducción
del ruso al inglés y que si bien la banda ya grabó mucho material, el disco no está listo.
“La banda está por escucharlo todo a ver si hay algo bueno”. También detalló que la banda
espera salir de gira pero no hay ningún plan confirmado.

Mientras que Radiohead está en el estudio ultimando los detalles de su nuevo disco de
estudio, Thom Yorke anduvo presentándose en diferentes escenarios de Reino Unido y Japón en
donde estrenó canciones en vivo como “Impossible Knots” y “Not the News”. Hoy nos llega una
nueva pero en versión estudio: “Villain“.
Son 8 minutos que nos llevan de una balada al piano a un IDM etéreo, con voces del Brooklyn
Youth Chorus. La canción fue estrenada como parte del show de la marca de ropa Rag &
Bone en la New York Fashion Week. Para esta marca ya había trabajado en 2011 y en 2013 con

El batería de Radiohead, Phil Selway, ha anunciado que los cinco integrantes de la banda
británica han vuelto a juntarse para grabar un nuevo álbum, cuatro años después de su último
trabajo. «Estamos de vuelta. Viene un otoño bastante ajetreado. Queremos acabar un disco, en
eso estamos. Nos acabamos de zambullir en ello», expresó Selway a la agencia británica PA.
Radiohead ha vendido más de 30 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo desde que en 1992
alcanzaron su primer éxito con el sencillo «Creep». Desde entonces, la banda ha publicado
ocho trabajos, el último de ellos, «The King of Limbs», hace cuatro años, y a partir de 2013
entraron en un periodo de pausa creativa que los componentes de la banda definieron como un
«hiato indefinido». Thom Yorke, vocalista y líder del grupo, aprovechó el parón para lanzar
en 2014 su segundo disco en solitario, «Tomorrow Modern's Boxes», un álbum que sacó a la
venta por internet y que superó el millón de descargas tan solo seis días después de su
lanzamiento.
Radiohead ya había optado por editar sus trabajos online en 2011, con «The King of Limbs», y
en 2007, con «In Rainbows».

El guitarrista de Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood, ha confirmado que la banda trabaja en la
concepción de un nuevo disco, pero no desvela ni cómo ni cuándo... En conversación con la
web alemana 3woor12, Greenwood indica que tanto Thom Yorke como él mismo trabajan día a día
en la composición y arreglos de nuevas canciones.
Jonny no desvela para cuándo, pero sí que contendrá temas ya conocidos como 'Lift', una
canción de 2006 que han hecho en algunos directos, como 'Nude' que apareció en In Rainbows,
diez años después de ser compuesta. “Lo que la gente no sabe es que en cada disco
siempre hay una canción que es muy vieja, como ‘Nude’ en In Rainbows. Nunca habíamos
encontrado el arreglo justo para ella hasta ese entonces. ‘Lift’ es tal cual eso. Cuando
la idea está buena, está buena. No importa realmente en qué forma se materializa", dide
Jonny.

Según fuentes de la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos, el departamento de
grabaciones históricas y significativas para la humaniodad, la Library’s National Recording
ha seleccionado el tercer disco de Radiohead, 'Ok Computer', presentado en España, en un
concierto en Barcelona el 22 de mayo de 1997, lpara formar parte del archivo
documental. La selección se ha realizado entre otras 25 grabaciones.

A la inclusión del disco de Radiohead se le suman los discos homónimos de The Doors (1967) y
Joan Baez (1960), el single “You’ve lost that lovin’ feelin’” (1964) de The Righteous
Brothers, el Stand! (1969) de Sly and the Family Stone y el primer LP de Lauryn Hill (The
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, 1998). En la ya reconocida biblioteca del Congreso de Estados
Unidos ya se encuentran las grabaciones de The Who, R.E.M., Willie Nelson o Tupac
Shakur.

descarga digital.y una edición especial en formato vinilo con un costo de 30 libras a través

El anuncio fue hecho tanto por Yorke como por Nigel Godrich, con quien colabora en Atoms for
Peace y en Radiohead "Como un experimento, usaremos una nueva versión de BitTorrent para
distribuir el nuevo álbum de Thom Yorke. Los nuevos archivos de Torrent presentan un
apartado para pagar para poder acceder a un grupo de archivos. Los archivos pueden ser
cualquier cosa, pero en este caso es un ‘álbum’”.

Radiohead empezarán a grabar su nuevo álbum
en septiembre
Radiohead comenzará a trabajar muy pronto en su nuevo disco, según ha declarado el
guitarrista del grupo, Jonny Greenwood, en el programa de radio BBC 6Music que dirige la
presentadora Mary Anne Hobbes.
"Comenzaremos en septiembre a tocar, ensayar y grabar para ver cómo está sonando", explicó
Greenwood cuando la presentadora le preguntó que en qué punto se encontraba el grupo.
Las declaraciones coinciden con lo que la banda había explicado algunos meses atrás, cuando
comentaron que sería en los meses estivales cuando se volverían a juntar para hablar su
próximo lanzamiento.
El grupo se describió como un "animal de lento movimiento". Esto, traduciendo la metáfora,
vendría a decir que prepara los lanzamientos de sus álbunes poco a poco.
A pesar de la inactividad del grupo, los integrantes de la banda han realizado sus proyectos
de forma individual durante todo este tiempo. Así, Thom Yorke se ha centrado en 'Atoms for
Peace'; Jonny Greenwood ha estado con orquestas; Philip Selway con su álbum como solista, y
Colin Greenwood ha participado en obras de caridad.
El último álbum de Radiohead fue 'The King of Limbs' en el año 2011. En caso de producirse
el lanzamiento del nuevo disco de la banda británica, sería el noveno en su
discografía.

Exito de Radiohead en el Bilbao BBK
Un total de 39.476 personas han asistido a la segunda jornada de la séptima edición del
Bilbao BBK Live 2012 y se ha estado muy cerca de mejorar la mayor asistencia de día del
evento, que aún ostenta Metallica como cabeza de cartel en 2007 con 39.740 personas.
Este viernes 13 ha arrancado con los conciertos de Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed (sala BBK, 12.30h) y
Glasvegas (Atrio AlhondigaBilbao, 13.30h) para después abrir las puertas del recinto de
Kobetamendi a las 17.30h y recibir a artistas de la talla de The Kooks, Vetusta Morla, Four
Tet, Noah & The Whale, Mumford & Sons, We Are Augustines o Awolnation, entre

The King of Limbs», el "periódico’ de
Radiohead
Será el día 18 de febrero cuando los británicos Radiohead lancen su nuevo álbum al mundo. Se
llama «The King of Limbs» y tiene como particularidad que se presentará en su edición física
como si fuese un periódico, «Newspaper Deluxe», que contendrá en forma de rotativo tabloide,
el disco completo, dos vinilos, 625 láminas ilustradas y sorpresas.
Pero aunque el disco podrá conocer el día 19 de febrero y adquirse en formato digital y
reservarse el «Newspapr Deluxe». No será hasta el 9 de mayo cuando se envíen las copias
físicas de «The King of Limbs».
A partir del sábado (19 de febrero) en la dirección http://www.thekingoflimbs.com
se podrá reservar la copia en formato mp3 (7 euros) y en wav (11 euros).
Después de 'regalar' su anterior disco, 'In Rainbows' (2007) al pedir únicamente la voluntad
a sus seguidores por descargarlo, en esta ocasión la banda, de nuevo sin discográfica, ha
optado por estos canales para distribuir sus nuevas canciones.
El álbum es el octavo de la banda liderada por Thom Yorke, y también es producido por Nigel
Godrich, como todos los discos de la banda desde "Ok Computer’ en 1997. # 2009
Radiohead's Phil Selway, Pink Floyd's Nick Mason and The Police's Stewart Copeland
have added their support to a campaign striving to keep the peace in Sudan.
The Sudan365 campaign sees each of the drummers appearing in a film that is set to launch
online today (January 9). The brainchild of Faithless drummer Jamie Catto, the video
features a 'drum beat for peace' that starts in Sudan and is then passed around 15 other
countries like a baton.
"I wanted to be involved in this project because I think music is such a powerful way of
bringing people together," said Selway of the video, which is available to view on
Sudan365.org. "Of course, I'm biased in thinking that what's underpinning it all is always
the beat - always drummers!"
He added: "Hopefully this film will show that together people can make a huge noise and
through this film I hope people's focus will be brought back to what is happening in the
Sudan over this very important next year."
Other drummers in the film include Snow Patrol's Jonny Quinn, renowned Egyptian drummer

URBAN MYTH CLUB SE ATREVEN CON RADIOHEAD
La banda encabezada por Dezz le ha dado una vuelta de tuerca a la versión que ha hecho Eliza
Lumley del "Creep" de Radiohead. Se trataría de un radio mix sobre el tema que la cantante
hizo para su álbum 'She Talks In Maths - Interpretations of Radiohead' y que ha sido número
1 en numeros charts.
Esta excelente versión se puede escuchar a través del myspace de Urban Myth Club y es
posible que vaya en el próximo álbum de UMC.

La banda inglesa Radiohead llegó a Chile por primera vez para ofrecer hoy el primero de sus
dos conciertos en la pista atlética del Estadio Nacional, en Santiago, donde prometió hacer
"un show sorprendente".
Así lo afirmó al diario local El Mercurio el vocalista del grupo, Thom Yorke, quien llegó
este miércoles, justo con el resto de la banda, procedente de Argentina en su avión
privado.
Al principio un poco serios, los autores de éxitos como "Karma Police" disfrutaron en un
conocido restaurante de la capital de raviolis, pizzas, mariscos y "piscolas", una versión
chilena del tradicional cubalibre a base de cola con pisco.
"Es un honor estar en Chile, pero esto es muy raro. Somos seres humanos no "rockstars"",
dijo Ed O"Brien, guitarrista del grupo, quien se mostró sorprendido por la muchedumbre que
les esperaba a las puertas del local.
La relación de la banda con sus fanáticos chilenos ya dio de qué hablar el pasado fin de
semana, cuando sus integrantes estaban en Brasil, donde participaron en el festival "Just a
Fest".
Tras su presentación en Río de Janeiro, los integrantes del grupo fueron a comer en un
restaurante local, donde conocieron a unas chilenas que, a pesar de haber asistido a su
espectáculo, en ningún momento les reconocieron.
Sin ningún tipo de pudor y tras explicarles que no podrían ir a Santiago por estar en
Brasil, las chicas intentaron vender a esos "desconocidos" sus entradas para el concierto de
Radiohead en Chile, sin saber que quienes estaban delante suyo eran los propios
protagonistas de ese recital.
"Ellas nos dijeron que Radiohead era una gran banda, y que no podían viajar a Chile a ver al
grupo porque estaban de vacaciones en Brasil. Por eso nos ofrecían las entradas", explicaron
Yorke y O"Brien en una entrevista al canal 24 horas de la red estatal de televisión (TVN). Fotos gira

La espera terminó. Por fin, una de las mayores expectativas musicales sufridas por el
público argentino llegó a su conclusión durante la primera noche del Quilmes Rock 2009 en el
Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires. La llegada de Radiohead a nuestro país reunió a unas 30 mil
personas que, al mismo tiempo, canalizaron sus ansiedades acumuladas durante años
experimentando la sensación única generada por las presentaciones del quinteto de Oxford en
vivo.

la banda tocó la totalidad de los temas de su séptimo y último disco (faltó sólo
"Faust Arp") y dió un paseo breve a través del resto de sus trabajos de estudio. Comenzando
con "15 Steps", la aparición de Thom Yorke al escenario significó la prueba tangible -o
casi- de que el sueño se había hecho realidad. Sus particulares y reconocidos movimientos
(cuando baila, una especie de nerd poseído), su timidez para conversar con el público
("Ok?", "gracias" y "muchas gracias") y su inigualable, versátil, virtuosa voz (ver
apartado) se materializaron ahí, a unos cuantos centímetros del suelo, y guiaron a 30 mil
personas a través de un viaje introspectivo, profundo. La combinación perfecta con los otros
cuatro miembros (Jonny Greenwod a la cabeza, Colin, Ed O`Brien y Phil Selway) hizo que cada
uno de los temas sonara como en los discos, pero a la máxima potencia. Y con una increíble
puesta visual: decenas de estalactitas luminosas, tomarían cada uno de los colores del arco
iris para ilustrar las distintas emociones de este trip que tuvo sus tramos bailables (con
"Jigsaw Falling Into Place" + "Idioteque" + "Bodysnatchers" y la versión de "Everything In
Its Right Place"-ver aparte-) y sus tramos melancólicos, esencialmente radioheanos (con "No

Radiohead cumple sueño de un público treintañero en el Foro Sol La crónica de Hoy / México
Con un simple “gracias” dicho en español, Tom York rompió la espera de 15 años que los
mexicanos tuvieron que aguantar para que la banda británica Radiohead regresara al país, que
los vio en sus inicios en una pequeña gira en clubs nocturnos de la ciudad de México, el
Estado de México y Guadalajara.
El escenario decorado con tubos de luz colocados en forma vertical, los cuales sólo dejaron
el espacio justo para que el grupo integrado por Ed O’Brien, Phil Selway, Colin y Jonny
Greenwood fue recurso para que enloqueciera a los 55 mil asistentes al Foro Sol en la ciudad
de México que se dieron cita para corear los temas que incluyeron en su gira Rainbow, y que
inició con la canción. “15 steps”.
El líder de la banda Tom York apareció pasadas las 21:40 horas del domingo, en el escenario,
con un atuendo cómodo, luciendo una playera polo azul y jeans, además de su clásico peinado
alborotado y con su inseparable guitarra.
“Airbag nude”, “No sorprises”, “All I need” y “The gloaming” fueron algunos de los temas que
interpretaron en la velada, la cual muchos de los fanáticos creyeron incompleta porque no
llegó la canción que los catapultara a la fama en México y el mundo: “Creep”, aunque esta
situación muchos la tenían presente porque en diferentes declaraciones de York habían
escuchado: “odio ese tema que habla de perdedores”. ..

Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood missed out on winning a BAFTA at last night's (February 10)
ceremony in London. The guitarist was nominated in the Music category for his soundtrack for
oil business film 'There Will Be Blood'.However Greenwood was beaten to the film prize by
Christopher Gunning for his work on 'La Vie En Rose'.'There Will Be Blood' did taste success
with its leading man Daniel Day-Lewis picking up the best actor prize.
Joy Division biopic 'Control' was also among the winners with writer Matt Greenhalgh taking
the The Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a British Director, Writer or Producer

directo y gratis de su "In Rainbows"
-La policía le obliga a cambiar el sitio de su concierto sorpresa en Londres por la gran
cantidad de fans que se habían concentrado ante el local Pasa de la tienda Rough Trade East,
de Londres a una sala, 93 Feet East. Desbordaron todas las previsiones. El anuncio de
que Radiohead ofrecería un concierto sorpresa y gratuito para presentar las canciones de su
último álbum, "In Rainbows" en una tienda de Londres la noche del miércoles 16, rompió los
esquemas. Cientos de seguidores de la banda se concentraron ante el establecimiento
londinense, Rough Trade Eas, lo que obligó a la policía a pedir a la banda que buscase
otra ubicación donde pudiesen entrar más personas y no se provocase un incidente contra el
orden público. Al final, con dos horas de retraso, el concierto se hizo en el 93 Feet

El concierto, que se pudo ver a traves de radiohead.tv, fue lo prometido, "In Rainbows" al

'The National Anthem', del album Kid A, , 'My Iron Lung' from ', y 'The Bends'. Un
concierto impresionante para aquellos que tuvieron la suerte de poder encontrar un hueco en
la sala, con un Thon Yorke quew demostraba estar en su mejor momento.

en UK Una
vez más el grupo británico Radiohead lo ha conseguido. Durante la pasada semana se ha
situado en el número uno de las listas de ventas en UK con su álbum 'In Rainbows'. Una
posición que resulta especialmene importante y significativa si se tiene en cuenta que la
banda de Thom Yorke protagonizó toda una revolución en la industria al permitir la descarga
en internet, en su web oficial, del disco por el precio que cada usuario quisiese pagar,
incluso de forma gratuita, y mucho antes de que el disco saliese a la venta de forma
física. ahora, que el disco ya está en forma física, la descarga no ha influido
negativamente en las ventas y el disco consigue alzarse a lo más alto del top británico,
donde ha competido con los albumes de Take That y Leona Lewis. 'In Rainbows' podía
encargarse para su compra en la web de Radiohead, además de descargarse, en un formato
especial, con artwork, extras y una presentación muy especial, además de un previo alto, 40
libras. Curiosamente ni el precio ni la descarga en internet ha influido negativamente para
el éxito, lo que demuestra que sólo es cuestión de alta calidad y que las descargas no
rompen el mercado, si se saben utilizar sus recursos.
El 62% de las descargas que se han hecho fueron sin pagar nada, mientras que entre los que
sí pagaron la media está en 5 euros (especialmente el público norteamericano). El método
puesto en práctica por Radiohead (Descargate la múscia y paga lo que creas oportuno por
ella) ha puesto en jaque a los sistemas tradicionales de ventas de música. El alto índice de
personas que se han descargado el disco sin pagar nada se debe, en parte, a que muchos
usuarios se encontraron con que el sistema de la web de Radiohead no les aceptaba su tarjeta
de crédito.

Exhibition announced to showcase rock music sleeves
Iconic album sleeves by the likes of Radiohead and Underworld are to feature in a new
exhibition.
Cover art created by some of the country's leading designers will feature at the
Eyestorm's Bankside Gallery in London.
Contributors to the show include Stanley Donwood, Reggie Pedro, Jason Kedgley and Simon
Taylor, who between them have worked for the likes of Gomez, Radiohead and
Underworld.
The exhibition runs from April 20-May 20.

Student Awards 2007 British band Radiohead is sponsoring the debut music videos
category at the D&AD Global Student Awards 2007 in support of up-and-coming creative
talent. Students from around the world with a passion for directing are invited to create
a video for front man Thom Yorke's track 'The Clock' - a song about the demise of the
environment.
In its 29th year, the competition calls upon college and university students across the
globe to 'show the world who they are' by tackling live briefs from some of the world's
biggest brands. The 32 briefs are set by the world's leading designers, advertising and
business professionals and cover a wide spectrum of creative disciplines and industry
sectors. This year's roster of sponsors includes brands such as Cobra Beer, Eurostar,
Grazia, Ford, Hamleys, Lonely Planet, npower, MTV, Puma, Red Bull, Shelter, and

Radiohead's previous album - 2003's 'Hail To The Thief' -entered the chart at Number
Three, while 2000's 'Kid A' entered at One.
Radiohead are set to headline the V Festival, which takes place between August 19-20 at
Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire.

No they haven't chilled out, its a tribute album
Radiohead's classic album 'OK Computer' has been entirely re-recorded, nine years after
its original release.
However fans should not worry, the band themselves haven't tampered with their
masterpiece. Rather the record the latest subject of the Easy Star reggae label's cheeky
tribute recordings.
Three and-a-half years ago, the Easy Star Allstars released 'Dub Side Of The Moon', a
reggae adaptation of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. And for its follow-up,
'Radiodread', the collective have tackled 'OK Computer'.
Easy Star's explained: "We wanted to do something that no-one would anticipate, something
that would take us to a new place altogether."
And bandmate Lem Oppenheimer said of the logic behind the project: "Reggae music, born in
opposition to colonial oppression, conveys hope in the bleakest moments. Likewise, there
is humour and hope in the voices of 'OK Computer''s lyrics, and that's where we found the
deepest connections with the reggae spirit."
Released on August 21, 'Radiodread' features an array of guest vocalists, including Horace
Andy on 'Airbag', Citizen Cope on 'Karma Police' and Frankie Paul on'Lucky' .(NME)

Thom Yorke nos ha dado una buena sorpresa con su primer disco en solitario "The Eraser" un
proyecto que ha llevado a cabo de la mano de su eterno productor Nigel Godrich y del que
casi nadie sabía nada hasta hace un mes cuando el mismo Yorke lo anunció en la web oficial
de Radiohead. En aquel anuncio Thom dejaba claro que había contado con el beneplácito de
sus compañeros y que no quería oír hablar de rumores de separación, egos encontrados etc.
Especialmente sorprendente porque Radiohead se encuentra en plena grabación de su nuevo
disco. El anunció no levantaba grandes expectativas, sobre todo porque decía que había
sido una grabación "divertida y rápida", parecía que Thom simplemente se había sacado la
espina de editar unas cuantas canciones que no consideraba lo suficientemente buenas para
trabajarlas con el resto del grupo. De ahí el increíble impacto del disco, que supera las
previsiones más optimistas. Sí, suena a Radiohead, a veces, más o menos, algún eco de Hail
to the Thief y de Amnesiac, pero es un disco de Thom Yorke, el alma de Radiohead. Lo
primero que choca es que, a pesar de ser un disco básicamente electrónico, toda la música
suena con mucha claridad, la voz de Thom sin una pizca de reverberación, creación en
estado puro. Desde la canción que le da título al disco "The Eraser" reconocemos los
ritmos que martirizan a Thom desde Kid A, los coros casi gregorianos, y las letras

El líder de Radiohead, Thom Yorke, publicará en el mes de julio un disco bajo el títuo

IndyRock, que no es un disco de la banda, sino compusto e interpretado por él. También
señala que no son ciertos los rumores de separación de la banda, que asegura que se
encuentra en su mejor mmomento y preparando nuevo material, además de estar de gira. Este
disco es producido por Nigel Goldrich, con portada de Stanley Donwood. Será más rítmico y

"Due to an unexpected & sudden family bereavement we are unable to do the show tonight
in Amsterdam. We have rescheduled it for Monday August 28th. We

Harry Potter
La música juega un papel esencial en la cuarta entrega de Harry Potter: tras encargar la
BSO a Patrick Doyle ( compositor de las músicas de Donnie Brasco, Bridget Jones' Diary,
Hamlet y Sense And Sensibility) los productores contactaron con varios músicos de la
escena musical británica para crear una serie de canciones especialmente para la película.
"Harry Potter y el Cáliz de Fuego". Dos de las tres canciones incluídas en el CD han sido
escritas por Jarvis Cocker (Pulp) quien contó con la ayuda de varios componentes de Pulp y
de Radiohead ( no sus formaciones completas) para la grabación: "Do The
Hippogriff," "Magic Works" y "This Is The Night" fueron grabadas por Jarvis Cocker (Pulp),
Jonny Greenwood (RadioHead), Phil Selway (Radiohead), Steve Claydon (Add N to X), Steve

FOLLOW ME AROUND (45 mins). (21st and 29th October) is A new short film by Radiohead fans
Nazare and Samuel, made with the band's co-operation on the 2002 tour of Spain and
Portugal which previewed songs from the album 'Hail To The Thief'.
When Oxford's fab five play, a united nation of fans travel from all over the world for
the shows. Captured atmospherically, are evenings in these lives, shot as a mix of candid,
conversational and backdrop with live footage and band interviews. Just who is
following who here? Would Radiohead do it?
The story of every band is largely defined by having fans... here's one told from a
different angle.

FACTION (29th October) is a collection of short films, projections and film poems by
Patrick Jones; father, playwright, poet, speaker, teacher and film maker. Faction brings
all of these factors together. Some were used by Manic Street Preachers (Patrick's brother
Nicky Wire is their bassist) on their Lifeblood Tour at the end of 2004. Patrick has
developed writing groups, drama workshops, set up projects and so much more - in short he
is a national treasure of positive history. Stark, chord striking imagery with
soundtracks by Manic Street Preachers, James Dean Bradfield and Godl Speed Yr Black
Emporer.

event. The Artful Music Film festival is screening at various non-typical locations and
these dates will be at the sit or stand - basement bar and cinema of Greenwich Picture

by train from London Bridge, or take the DLR from The City or East End if 21st century

El 9 de septiembre se cumple el décimo aniversario del álbum "Help" grabado en beneficio
de los niños de la guerra de Bosnia. Por este motivo un grupo de bandas y artistas de todo
el mundo han decidido grabar un nuevo "Help, A day in the life". Se ha grabado en menos de
veinticuatro horas, ya que cada grupo lo hace en lugares diferentes. Entre las bandas se
encuentran nombres como Radiohead, Belle &Sebastián, Gorillaz y The Coral. El álbum

On one day in September 1995, 20 of the UK's finest bands and artists went into studios
across Europe to each produce a track for Help, the fastest number one album in British
music history. That album, recorded for the War Child charity, raised more than £1.25
million to help children caught in the atrocities of the Bosnian war.
The tenth anniversary of that extraordinary event will be marked by Help: A Day in the
Life on Friday 9th September 2005. On that one single day, the artists of 2005 will each
record a new track, and help to make history as part of the world's fastest-ever online
download album.
Bands and artists are recording their exclusive tracks from locations all over the world;
Gorillaz are recording in Hong Kong, Kaiser Chiefs will have 3 hours to record their track
on tour in Berlin, Damien Rice is interrupting the recording of his second album in
Dublin, Belle & Sebastian will be making their music in Glasgow and the Manic Street
Preachers will be delivering a brand new song from their studio in Wales. Emmanuel Jal - a
rising rap star who was once a child soldier in Sudan - is also contributing brand new
music.
In the past ten years, War Child has worked with children and communities blighted by war
in several countries including Rwanda, Sudan, Afghanistan, Angola and Iraq, where
drop-in centres in Nasiriyah and Basrah are being rehabilitated in order to provide a safe
place for vulnerable street children and help them gain access to education and skills.
Some of the most horrific stories of child victims of war come from the Democratic
Republic of Congo. In one incident alone last year, War Child prevented scores of child
soldiers from being put on transport planes in August 2004 bound for the eastern conflict
corridor.

RADIOHEAD headed into the studio
yesterday (August 18) to continue work on the follow-up to 2003's 'HAIL TO THE
THIEF'.
The band announced the plans for their as-yet-unnamed seventh studio album in a posting on
their official website radiohead.com.
Singer Thom Yorke said: "We are going into a proper studio on Thursday (for a leettle
(sic) while) with 192 faders which is a lot of choice a bit like the supermarket and it
may all go off before we get to it so we have to eat quick."
Radiohead have been recording on and off at their own studio since the beginning of early
2004, but it is unknown how much of that time has been spent working on the new album.
Guitarist Jonny Greenwood recently told Billboard: "We don't take time off very well.
We're enjoying it still, so why just go home and do nothing?" A statement from the band's
management revealed that the group are "putting some ideas together" in the new studio to
"see where they want to go with the next step musically".Radiohead are currently without a
record contract having fulfilled their commitments with EMI following the release of 'Hail
To The Thief'.
However, their management dismissed recent rumours that Warner Music were lining up to
sign the band, saying: "The band (are) not looking for a record company in any way, shape
or form. They are out of a contract, but they're not actively looking for another one.
They're getting on with doing what they do."
In another post, Yorke said: "No record contract as such. Any offers? What we would like
is the old EMI back again, the nice genteel arms manufacturers who treated music a nice
side project (and) weren't (too) bothered about the shareholders." (NME)

Members of RADIOHEAD have debuted new material on stage in LONDON tonight (March
27).
Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke played two tracks together at the Royal Festival Hall with
the London Sinfonietta.
The duo debuted the delicate-sounding 'Arpeggi', which featured ocean-themed lyrics, plus
played 'Where Bluebirds Fly', a b-side of 'There There'. Both tracks were specially
arranged for orchestra by Greenwood.
The appearance was part of Greenwood's collaboration with the London Sinfonietta for the
South Bank's Ether festival, and saw the guitarist pick a selection of experimental music
for the evening.
The orchestra performed two compositions by Greenwood, 'smear' plus the world premier of
'Piano For Children', along with a series of other short orchestral works.
The event also witnessed a guest collaboration with the Nazareth Orchestra who injected an
Arabic influence not only with their own work, but by joining in 'Where Bluebirds Fly'
with the Radiohead duo.
The programme featuring Yorke and Greenwood, is due to be repeated tomorrow at the Royal

RADIOHEAD singer THOM YORKE is pictured

He joins a host of stars including Chris Martin, Jamelia and Michael Stipe for the new
series of 'Ever Felt Dumped On?' photographs to raise awareness for its ongoing Make Trade
Fair campaign to reverse the crippling inequalities in the international farming
trade.
All the shots, in which a celebrity is covered in foodstuffs, illustrate the plight of
farmers who are systematically 'dumped on' by rich countries.
Yorke said: "How sweet does your chocolate taste when you know the producer in a country
you will never see did not even get paid enough to feed his family? How sweet does it
taste when you see the amount of profit a few multinational corporations make on it?
"How sweet does it taste, exactly, to know our own governments prevent these countries
from ever getting off their knees and from ever being able to compete and get PAID,
erecting barriers and then DUMPING on them from a great height whilst feigning concern?
How delicious is it to know that sweet taste in your mouth is one of slavery, a nice new
economic model?
"As it melts in your mouth, how sweet does your chocolate taste, now you know the
suffering that it took to get to you?"

The pair are to make a cameo appearance as a group of witches called the Wyrd Sisters, in

joined his pals REM onstage at their secret LONDON show tonight (September 15).
Yorke appeared onstage at the St James' Church halfway through the set to join Michael
Stipe on vocals for a version of the US band's 1996 UK Top Five hit 'E-Bow The Letter',
Yorke taking the part Patti Smith sang on the studio version. REM had to restart the song
after Stipe claimed "I was so excited I fucked up the beginning", before going on to
apologise for swearing in church.

situado en el número uno de las listas de ventas en UK con su álbum 'In Rainbows'. Una
posición que resulta especialmene importante y significativa si se tiene en cuenta que la
banda de Thom Yorke protagonizó toda una revolución en la industria al permitir la descarga
en internet, en su web oficial, del disco por el precio que cada usuario quisiese pagar,
incluso de forma gratuita, y mucho antes de que el disco saliese a la venta de forma
física. ahora, que el disco ya está en forma física, la descarga no ha influido
negativamente en las ventas y el disco consigue alzarse a lo más alto del top británico,
donde ha competido con los albumes de Take That y Leona Lewis. 'In Rainbows' podía
encargarse para su compra en la web de Radiohead, además de descargarse, en un formato
especial, con artwork, extras y una presentación muy especial, además de un previo alto, 40
libras. Curiosamente ni el precio ni la descarga en internet ha influido negativamente para
el éxito, lo que demuestra que sólo es cuestión de alta calidad y que las descargas no
rompen el mercado, si se saben utilizar sus recursos.
